Azelnidipine

Effects of This Medicine +
This medicine decreases blood pressure through expansion of blood vessels based on antagonistic effects on calcium channels.
It is usually used to treat hypertension.
Dosing Schedule (How to Take) +
・In general, for adults, take 1/2 to 1 tablet (8 to 16 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day after breakfast. Start with 1/2 tablet (8 mg) or a lower dose at a time. The dosage may be adjusted according to your symptoms. However, the maximum daily dose is 1 tablets (16 mg). Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose when you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
Before Using This Medicine +
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

・This medicine may cause dizziness due to decreased blood pressure. Pay attention when working at heights or operating dangerous machinery, such as driving a car.
・Do not take grapefruit juice with this medicine, since it may increase the blood level of the medicine and cause excessive lowering of blood pressure.

・Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
・Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
