Effects of This Medicine +
・This medicine lowers blood pressure by reducing peripheral vascular resistance via antagonizing the receptor of angiotensin II, an intrinsic substance which raises blood pressure by constricting blood vessels.
・It is usually used to treat hypertension.
Dosing Schedule (How to Take) +
・Adults: In general, take 20 mg of azilsartan at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms, but should not exceed 40 mg a day.
・Children aged 6 years old or over: In general, start with 2.5 mg once a day for children weighing less than 50 kg and 5 mg once a day for children weighing 50 kg or over. The dosage may be adjusted according to age, weight or symptoms, but should not exceed 20 mg a day (under 50 kg) or 40 mg a day (50 kg or over).
・This product is available in 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg tablets. Select the strength prescribed by your doctor from the options above. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, wait at least 8 hours before taking the next dose. You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itching, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have a high blood potassium level, renal disorder, liver disorder or cerebrovascular disorder.

AZILVA (azilsartan) is a Japanese-developed angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) from Takeda, launched in Japan in 2012. Azilsartan binds tightly to the AT1 receptor and provides strong, long-lasting 24-hour blood pressure reduction with once-daily dosing. It is one of the most frequently prescribed ARBs in Japan. Japanese AZILVA (アジルバ錠) is supplied in PTP sheets of 10 tablets, manufactured under Japanese GMP.

Yes. Azilsartan is sold as Edarbi (azilsartan medoxomil) in the US and Europe. Japanese AZILVA contains azilsartan itself; 20 mg of AZILVA is generally considered comparable to 40 mg of Edarbi. Please consult your doctor about dose equivalence.
