Effects of This Medicine +
・This medicine helps you fall asleep easier and/or stay asleep longer by blocking the binding of the wake-promoting neuropeptides orexins to its receptors.
・It is usually used for treatment of insomnia.
Dosing Schedule (How to Take) +
・In general, for adults, take 20 mg of the active ingredient at a time; and for elderly patients, take 15 mg of the active ingredient at a time; once a day, just before bedtime. ・The dose may be adjusted to 10mg of the active ingredient at a time; once a day, just before bedtime, according to the concomitant medicines. Strictly follow the instructions.
・This product is available in 10mg, 15mg and 20mg tablets. Select the strength prescribed by your doctor from the options above.
・Take the medicine just before bedtime. Do not take the medicine if you need to get up to do some work after sleeping for a few hours.
・Taking the medicine with food and just after eating should be avoided.
・If you miss a dose, take a dose when you have plenty of time until getting up on the next morning. You should never take two doses at one time.
