・It is commonly used to treat ulcers, pain, and cold sensations associated with chronic arterial occlusive disease, as well as for the treatment of primary pulmonary hypertension.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・Improvement of ulcers, pain, and cold sensations associated with chronic arterial occlusive disease: In general, adults are administered 120 µg of Beraprost sodium orally, divided into three doses after meals.
・Primary pulmonary hypertension: For adults, treatment usually begins with 60 µg of Beraprost sodium orally, divided into three doses after meals, and the dosage may be gradually increased while closely monitoring for symptoms (side effects). When increasing the dose, the number of administrations can be increased to three to four times a day, with a maximum dosage of 180 µg per day.
・Cautions related to dosage and administration: It is known that the tolerance to drug therapy for primary pulmonary hypertension varies among patients. Therefore, when administering this drug, it should be started at a low dose, and any dosage increases should be done with careful observation of the patient's condition.
