Effects of This Medicine +
・This medicine decreases blood pressure with antagonism to angiotensin II receptor, a substance in the body that constricts blood vessels and raises blood pressure. It also reduces the deterioration of the renal function by reducing proteinuria to protect the
kidneys.
・It is usually used to treat hypertension, and diabetic nephropathy in the type 2 diabetes mellitus accompanied by hypertension and proteinuria.
Dosing Schedule (How to Take) +
・For hypertension: In general, for adults, take 25 to 50 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms, or may be increased up to 1 tablet (100 mg of the active ingredient) a day.
・For diabetic nephropathy in the type 2 diabetes mellitus accompanied by hypertension and proteinuria: In general, for adults, take 50 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. The dosage may be increased up to 1 tablet (100 mg of the active ingredient) a day according to the blood pressure level. If you have the potential to develop excessive hypotension, the initial dose is started at 25 mg.
・This preparation contains 100 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. In any case, strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
