Effects of This Medicine +
・This medicine inhibits glucose reabsorption in the renal proximal tubule and excretes excess glucose in urine to reduce blood sugar level.
・It is usually used to treat type 2 diabetic mellitus.
Dosing Schedule (How to Take) +
・In general, for adults and children aged 10 years old or over, take 1 tablet (2.5 mg of Luseogliflozin) at a time once a day before or after breakfast. The dosage may be increased to 2 tablets (5 mg) at a time, once a day according to your symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. ・You should never take two doses at one time.
Before Using This Medicine +
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have ketosis, diabetic coma/precoma, infections, injury, pituitary gland malfunction, adrenal gland dysfunction, irregular eating habits, insufficient food intake, excessive alcohol intake, urinary tract infection or genital infection.
・If you are in a pre- of post-operative state, poor nutritional state, starvation state, debilitated state or performing intense muscular exercise.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions While Taking +
・Strictly follow the instructions on dietary/exercise therapy.・This medicine may cause hypoglycemia symptom. Pay attention when you work at heights or drive a car.
・If hypoglycemia symptom occurs, take sugar (sugar, candy, juice, glucose, etc.) immediately. If you are taking alpha-glucosidase inhibitor (which delays absorption of glucose) with this medicine, be sure to take glucose when hypoglycemia symptom occurs.
・Drink an adequate amount of water to avoid dehydration.
Storage Conditions +
・Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light, heat and moisture.
・Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to discard, consult your pharmacy or medical institution about how to discard them. Do not give this medicine to anyone else.
