Effects of this medicine
This medicine is an airway mucus adjuster, and agent to keep the normal mucosa that helps excrete phlegm/nasal mucus to relieve stuffed nose.
It is usually used to treat inflammation of upper respiratory tract, acute bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pulmonary tuberculosis (expectoration purpose), chronic sinusitis (drainage purpose), secretory otitis media (drainage purpose only for children).
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・For adults: In general, prepare the suspension each time, and take 1.0 g or 1 sachet (500 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day.
・For infants/children: In general, prepare the suspension each time, and take 0.02 g/kg (10 mg/kg of the active ingredient) of the body weight at a time, 3 times a day.
For both, dosage may be adjusted according to your disease/age/symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you mix this medicine with water, take it promptly.
・If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
・If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
