Effects of this medicine
・This medicine decreases blood pressure with angiotensin II-receptor antagonistic activity. It also reduces the deterioration of the renal function by reducing proteinurina to protect the kidneys.
・It is usually used in the treatment of hypertension, and diabetic nephropathy in the type 2 diabetes mellitus accompanied by hypertension and proteinuria.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・For hypertension: In general, for adults, take 1 to 2 tablets (25 to 50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms, or may be increased up to 4 tablets (100 mg) a day.
・For diabetic nephropathy*: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be increased up to 4 tablets (100 mg) a day according to the blood pressure level. If you have the potential to develop excessive hypotension, the initial dose is started at 1 tablet (25 mg).
・In any case, strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have a history of liver or renal disorder or cerebrovascular disorder (cerebral stroke etc.).

・Dizziness and light-headedness may occur due to an excessive decrease in blood pressure. Pay close attention when you drive a car, work at heights or operate dangerous machinery.
・This medicine cannot be used by pregnant and possibly pregnant woman. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, consult with your doctor immediately.
