Effects of this medicine
・This medicine is a synthetic adrenocortical steroid, which suppresses inflammation associated with stomatitis through its anti-inflammatory effects.
・It is usually used to treat refractory stomatitis accompanied by erosion or ulcer.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・In general, spray 1 capsule (50 mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, 2 to 3 times a day, using a dedicated small nebulizer (Puvlizer). Spray the powdered medicine contained in the capsule evenly on areas of stomatitis. The dosage may be adjusted according to your symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
・To spray this medicine, you need to insert the capsule into a small nebulizer.
・As to how to insert the capsule and how to spray, refer to the instruction leaflet on "How to use the small nebulizer (Puvlizer)". If you do not know how to insert and to spray, your pharmacy or medical institution will explain to you.
・If the capsule gets wet, you may not be able to spray well. Pinch the capsule with dry fingers.
・Take the capsule out each time after spraying and discard the remainder.
・Even if this medicine remains in the capsule, do not use it for the next time.
・Do not swallow the capsule.
・Do not inhale this medicine.
・Do not spray in your eyes.
・If you miss a dose, spray the missed dose when you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your next dosing schedule. You should not spray two doses at one time.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have oral infection or a medical history of candidiasis.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Storage conditions and other information
・After completing the spray, wipe the tip of the Puvlizer with tissue paper and store.
・The powder remaining inside the cap and in the back of the nozzle of the Puvlizer should be cleaned with the attached brush once a week or so. Thereafter, remove the remaining powder in the nozzle by tapping the nebulizer on a hard surface several times.
・Do not wash the Puvlizer with water. If its inside gets moistened or wet, you may not be able to spray.
・Pay attention that a penetrating needle is in the large cap of the Puvlizer.
・Keep out of the reach of children. Store in a light shielding condition, at a room temperature (1 to 30 degrees Cel�E½E“ius), away from heat and moisture.
・Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to dispose of them, consult with your pharmacy or medical institution. Do not give this medicine to others.
