Effects of this medicine
・This medicine enhances release of noradrenaline into the synaptic clefts in the brain, and then improves symptoms such as anxiety, irritability and insomnia associated with depression/depressed state.
・It is usually used to treat depression/depressed state.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・In general, for adults, take 3 tablets (30 mg of the active ingredient) as the initial dose, then increase up to 6 tablets (60 mg) in several divided doses. It may be taken at a time, once a day, after supper or before bedtime. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
・You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have glaucoma, dysuria, increased intraocular pressure, heart diseases, convulsive diseases such as epilepsy or their history, manic-depressive illness, organic brain disorder or predisposition of schizophrenia, concurrent psychiatric disorder with a strong tendency of impulsivity, suicidal ideation or history of suicide attempt, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, QT prolonged or its history, renal dysfunction or liver dysfunction.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
・This medicine may cause sleepiness or decline of attention/concentration/reflex action. Avoid operating dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
・Patients with depression or depressed state may feel like dying. While taking this medicine, especially at the start of the medication or at the time of dose change, worsening of symptoms such as increased anxiety or thoughts of dying may occur. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor.
・This medicine may cause symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, feeling rushed, tendency to excite, going into a panic paroxysmally, change in mental or physical condition due to slight irritation, hostility, acting aggressively, acting impulsively and unable to remain still. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor. Among patients experiencing such symptoms, although causal relationship with this medicine is unknown, worsening of their underlying disease such as depression, feeling like dying or harming others may occur.
・Since this medicine may cause agranulocytosis (sudden high fever, chills, sore throat), blood test may be performed periodically.
・Pay attention that alcohol may intensify medicinal or medical effects.

Storage conditions and other information
・Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (1 to 30 degrees Celsius) away from direct sunlight and moisture.
・Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to discard, seek advice of your pharmacy or medical institution. Do not give the unused medicines to others.
・[To family members] This medicine may cause change in patient's behavior such as feeling like dying, tendency to excite, acting aggressively and change in mental condition due to slight irritation, and worsening of the underlying disease such as depression. Receive an adequate explanation from the doctor for full understanding of these risks and observe change in the patient's condition. If family members notice any of these conditions, contact the doctor.
