Effects of this medicine
・This medicine inhibits the enzyme which produces uric acid to decrease blood uric acid levels.
・It is usually used for the treatment of gout and hyperuricemia.
・This medicine does not suppress pain and inflammation when a gouty attack ( gouty arthritis ) occurs.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・In general, for adults, start with 20 mg of the active ingredient at a time twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. The dosage may be gradually increased according to your blood uric acid levels as needed. It may be increased to 40 mg at a time twice a day after 2 weeks, and then 60 mg at a time twice a day as maintenance dose after 6 weeks. ・The dosage may be adjusted according to your condition. However, it should not exceed 80 mg at a time twice a day. This preparation contains 40 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you have a gouty attack ( pain ) while taking this medicine, do not adjust your dose or stop taking this medicine. Consult with your doctor.
・If you miss a dose, take a missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
