Effects of this medicine
・This medicine suppresses bladder constriction by blocking the muscarinic receptors in the bladder smooth muscle with the active metabolite, 5-HMT.
・It is usually used to treat overactive bladder with symptoms of urinary urgency, frequent urination and urge incontinence and for urination management in neurogenic bladder.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・For overactive bladder with symptoms of urinary urgency, frequent urination and urge incontinence: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (4 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dosage may be increased up to 2 tablets (8 mg) once a day, according to the symptoms.
・For urination management in neurogenic bladder: In general, for children with body weight over 25 kg, take 1 tablet (4 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day, for the starting dose. The dosage may be increased up to 2 tablets (8 mg) once a day, according to the condition, 1 or more weeks after stating this medicine.
・In any case, strictly follow the instructions.
・Since this medicine is a sustained release preparation, swallow the tablet without splitting, crushing, grinding or chewing.
・In cases of overactive bladder with symptoms of urinary urgency, frequent urination and urge incontinence, a medical interview and urinalysis are conducted before using this medicine in order to distinguish it from other conditions with symptoms similar to overactive bladder (urinary tract infection, urinary stone, bladder or prostate cancer, etc.). ・Specialized tests are also performed as needed.
・In patients with lower urinary tract obstructive diseases such as benign prostatic hypertrophy, residual urine volume is measured before using this medicine. Further tests are performed as needed.
・If you miss a dose and notice it within one day, take the missed dose as soon as possible. You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have: urinary retention or lower urinary tract obstructive disease (benign prostatic hypertrophy, etc.), angle-closure glaucoma, pylorus/duodenum or intestinal tract obstruction and paralytic ileus, gastric or intestinal atony, ulcerative colitis, myasthenia gravis, heart disease, renal dysfunction, liver dysfunction, hyperthyroidism, Parkinson's symptom or cerebrovascular disorder or dementia.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

・This medicine may cause blurred vision, dizziness or sleepiness. Pay close attention to operating dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
・Avoid taking any food containing St. John's wort (a kind of herb) with the medicine, since it may diminish medicinal effects.

Storage conditions and other information
・Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (1 to 30 degrees Celsius) away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Store as a PTP sheet (press through pack sheet) until immediately before taking it.
・Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to discard, seek advice of your pharmacy or medical institution. Do not give the unused medicines to others.
