Effects of this medicine
・This medicine inhibits noradrenaline and serotonin reuptake in the brain to relieve depressive mood and feeling. It also decreases frequency of urination during nighttime and relieves pain.
・It is usually used to treat depression/depressive state, bedwetting and peripheral neuropathic pain.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・Depression/depressive state: In general, for adults, take 30 to 75 mg of the active ingredient a day as the initial dose, then the dosage will be briefly increased up to 150 mg a day. Take them in divided doses. In rare case, the dosage will be increased up to 300 mg. The dosage may be decreased according to age and symptoms of the patient.
・Bedwetting: In general, take 1 to 3 tablets (10 to 30 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day before bedtime. The dosage may be decreased according to age and symptoms of the patient.
・Peripheral neuropathic pain: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (10 mg of the active ingredient) a day as the initial dose, then the dosage will be adjusted according to age and symptoms of the patient. The daily maximum dosage is 15 tablets (150 mg).
・This preparation contains 10 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
・Depression/depressive state, Peripheral neuropathic pain : If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
・Bedwetting : If you miss a dose, take a dose before bedtime on the next day. You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you have angle-closure glaucoma, myocardial infarction or urinary retention (prostatic disease, etc.).
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
・This medicine may cause sleepiness and lack of attention/concentration/reflex movement. Avoid operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car.
・Intake of alcohol may enhance the effect of this medicine. Refrain from drinking alcohol while taking the medicine.
・Note that foods containing Saint John's wort may weaken the effect of this medicine.
